There is little to no discomfort to an adjustment if properly given. Patients in fact look forward to their treatments for the relief it provides.

Chiropractic is easily the most affordable option out there when you compare us to other forms of health care.

DO YOU REFER TO OTHER PHYSICIANS?

Absolutely! We have a list of physicians that we work with that we use on a frequent basis.

DO YOU USE ACUPUNCTURE OR GIVE NUTRITIONAL ADVICE?

We are certified to do acupuncture should you require it. Our doctors are also highly trained in nutrition and exercise to answer your health questions.

WHAT ABOUT PHYSICAL THERAPY?

Physical therapy works! That is why we have been doing it for over 30 years. Our office visit includes chiropractic care and physical therapy for less than the cost of having physical therapy alone performed elsewhere.

I'VE HEARD THAT ONCE YOU GO TO A CHIROPRACTOR YOU HAVE TO KEEP GOING? IS THIS TRUE?

WRONG! WRONG! WRONG! Any competent chiropractor will first do a consultation to determine if you are in the right place. Then an examination ( If you want one ) will confirm this. I'VE HEARD THAT CHIROPRACTORS CAN CAUSE STROKES! IS THAT TRUE?

If you are concerned about receiving neck adjustments and its possible risks, you can google www.chiro.org/chimages/chiropage/cva-1.html for an extensive review of the current literature. 

 

To summarize:

 

1) A reasonable estimate of risk of a stroke following cervical manipulation is 1/2 to 2 incidents per million treatments. 

 

2) Of those incidents 1/3 will resolve with mild or no residuals. 

 

3) 1/4 of those incidents will prove fatal. 

 

4) To place it in perspective, if you drive 8 miles each way to get to your chiropractic appointment, you have a statistically greater risk of being killed in your car than you do from receiving a treatment. 

 

5) For another perspective, you have a greater risk of stroke from taking NSAIDS (anti-inflammatory drugs) like Motrin or Advil than from a chiropractic adjustment.

6) During pregnancy, the risk of having a stroke is 140 times greater than from receiving a chiropractic adjustment.
